📍 Setting Your Store Location on OutboardBits
Your location tells buyers where you’re based and helps with shipping, trust, and local sales.
Keep it accurate—it matters more than you think.
⚙️ Step 1: Go to Location Settings
From your vendor dashboard:
Dashboard → Settings → Location
In WCFM Marketplace, this is where you set your store’s location on the map.
🗺️ Step 2: Set Your Location
You’ll see a map and a search box.
- Enter your town, city, or postcode
- Or drag the pin to your location
👉 You don’t need to give your exact address—general area is fine.
📌 Step 3: Adjust the Map Pin
- Zoom in/out
- Move the pin if needed
👉 Aim for accuracy without sharing too much personal detail
🌍 Step 4: Why This Matters
Your location helps:
- Customers understand where items ship from
- Build trust (real seller, real location)
- Improve local buying decisions
đźšš Step 5: Match It With Shipping
Make sure your location lines up with:
- Your shipping costs
- Your delivery times
👉 Example:
If you’re in Scotland, don’t list “next day UK delivery” unless you can actually do it.
đź”’ Privacy Tip
- Use a general location if working from home
- Don’t feel pressured to show your exact address
⚠️ Common Mistakes
- Leaving location blank
- Setting the wrong country
