🔄 Handling Refunds on OutboardBits

Refunds happen. Handle them properly and you’ll keep buyers happy—and your reputation solid.

⚙️ Step 1: Go to Orders

From your vendor dashboard:

Dashboard → Orders

In WCFM Marketplace, this is where all refund requests start.

🔍 Step 2: Open the Order

  • Find the order in question
  • Click to view full details

Check:

  • What was ordered
  • Order status
  • Customer message (if any)

📩 Step 3: Review the Refund Request

Customers may request a refund for:

  • Damaged item
  • Wrong part sent
  • Item not as described
  • Item not received

👉 Read the request carefully before acting.

⚖️ Step 4: Decide What to Do

You have two options:

✔ Approve the Refund

  • If the claim is valid
  • Process refund (full or partial)

❌ Reject the Refund

  • If the claim isn’t valid
  • Provide a clear reason

👉 Always be fair—bad handling = bad reviews.

💸 Step 5: Process the Refund

Depending on setup:

  • Manual payments:
You refund the customer directly (PayPal/bank)
  • Automatic payments (Stripe/PayPal):
Refund can be processed through the system

🔄 Step 6: Update Order Status

Once handled:

  • Mark the order as Refunded
  • Add notes if needed

👉 Keeps everything clear for both sides
